Q - Is there a cost to register as a candidate?
A - No, FinanceJobs.co.nz offers free registration, you will need to have a valid email addres to register however. You can use a free email address from Yahoo or Gmail for example.
Q - How does Financobs.co.nz help me find work?
A - Once registered you can apply for work by sending applications to the job vacancies listed on the website, you may also upload your cv to the database for recruiters to review, it is completely upto you if you want to allow recruiters to view your cv details, you can also use our RSS feeds for personal use.
Q - What is a RSS feed?
A - Real Simple Syndication allows you to receive updates of in this case, job vacancies or blog posts to your email account. You can then review information via outlook or webmail, using RSS means that you can keep informed of news and information without the need to browse Financejobs daily.
Q - I have more than one cv, can I keep copies on file?
A - Yes, you can add multiple CV and Cover letters to your account, enabling you to send the best matched letter and application to your chosen vacancies.
Q - What are screening questions?
A - Screening questions allow the recruiters that place adverts control their ad response, for example they are able to decide if they want only NZ based applicants for thier vacancy.
Q - Where do I log in?
A - Login is at the top right hand side of every page of the website apart from the blog section.
Q - How do I log into the Blog to make comments?
A - The blog has a seperate log in which is a blue login box in the top right of every blog page.
Q - What details should I provide on my job applications?
A - We strongly advise that under no circumstances you should provide an advertiser with bank account details via the internet, you should never be asked to pay any registration fee or promised work for application fee's. if in doubht contact FinanceJobs.co.nz or review another advertiser instead.
Q - I applied for a job vacancy but have not heard back
A - Every company works differently, it is normal not to hear a repsonse immediatley or even up to a week from your appliction being made. If you do not get a response then we suggust calling or emailing the advertiser to check that they have recieved your application.
Q - Can I see how many jobs i've applied for?
A - Yes, by logging in to your account you can see how many jobs you have applied for, what details you sent and also create "Job alerts"
Q - What is a Job Alert?
A - Job alerts are messages from FinanceJobs to tell you that a job vacancy has been placed on the website that matches your keywords and interest. Using the Job alert feature is completely free of charge for job seekers.
Q - How do I search for Job vacancies?
A - Use the quick job search on the left hand side of the home page or the quick job search function on the right hand internal pages, there is also an advanced search function where you can search multiple regions and narrow your search.
